In 2015, Lāhui spaces began to be invigorated with new momentum spurred on by Aloha ʻĀina. This energy was felt and encouraged community members to imagine what Māhūi spaces could look like and feel like. What began as a conversation was actualized by a small hui of folks on October 2023 with the opening of our community center in Hilo.
